Warm Up & Banks, Preliminary | Johnathan Holling | PART 02
8m 8s
Part 2: Jonathan demonstrates the line of fences. When his horse makes mistakes he has an opportunity to explain the importance of letting a bad fence go and riding for the next. He shares his visualization of train tracks, and how once he sets his horse on the train track into the fence and puts them into the correct canter, he has complete faith that they will jump well. Jonathan works with the riders to compress and lengthen the strides in a line, encouraging them to be more aggressive and more accountable for getting the ride they want. He reminds them of the rule of jumping banks - being aggressive coming on and passive coming off. With this in mind, they start working at the bank.
