Third Level, Day 1 | Dorothee Schneider
58m
German Olympian Dorothee Schneider works with two riders on the half pass and the start of flying changes. When a horse was tense, too high in the neck or behind the rhythm, Dorothee would tell the riders to stretch the horse forward and downward with light contact and used the phraseœtake a seat. This expression was Schneider way of asking the rider to stretch her body upward, open her knees and sit into the horse, allowing the rider to make the rhythm with her hips and seat.œYou make the rhythm, dont wait for it, she said.œEach horse has his own rhythm and the rider needs to find this.
