Part 1: Greg discusses how he uses landing strips, such as small crushable PVC pipe, in his own program to help create respect for verticals and give his horses the tools to clear them. He also explains how there are some types of jumps like Liverpool and water element combinations that he does not practice much at all, as things can easily go wrong and he feels the horses hold a grudge. Greg talks the riders around the lines in the course he has set up and explains why he prefers to have two reins for bits involving gags, so the snaffle rein can be primarily in use. As the riders warm up to jump, Greg works with one to keep her position more central.
