Ashley Johnson adds a saddle pad with shims to one of the horses that was having trouble moving his shoulders. The riders then work to increase the collection gained in the previous exercise by having a square of ground poles with a pole laid diagonally across the middle. The retired eventer canters the exercise, while the hot chestnut approaches it in trot and canters out. Ashley then check on the saddle fit of the horse with the added saddle pads and has him do the exercise.
