Rideability Exercises Over Fences | Boyd Martin | PART 01
20m
Part 1: Boyd explains the session goals and what rideability means to him. The riders warm up at a walk and trot. Boyd works with them on some counter canter, using opposite flexion to loosen up the horses necks and test how secure they are in canter. Boyd sets up a grid using cavalettis, working on shortening the stride to add at the trot. One rider with a very exuberant horse works on jumping through the grid and then slowing down and keeping control of her horse. Boyd coaches the riders as they work on adding and taking away strides between fences.
