The last part of the session works on the trot.  Laura encourages the rider to keep her mare responsive to her aids without being rude in the bridle, using positioning to keep her humble in the bridle. She has her ride haunches out rather than pulling back when the mare wants to charge through the bridle.  They also ride haunches in, making sure to give when she gives. Laura explains why she has her ride haunches in instead of a shoulder in.
