They now work at improving the quality of the walk before going back to the counter canter now to the left. Laura points out that you have to be able to touch them with either rein without an undesired change. They patiently work with her as she tries to do a change on the short ends of the arena rather than hold the counter canter, breaking down the pieces and requiring her to wait for the rider.  Laura explains that the mare should be able to do 10 meter circles in the counter canter and have great rideability before having quality changes.
