Introducing Flying Changes | Christoph Hess
3m 23s
Colleen demonstrates how turning your toe out can cause different effects depending on the size of rider in relationship to the horse. As she moves into the trot, she first works at getting him forward and then asks for some connection. She next checks her balance in the saddle by performing arm movements both in trot and canter. A young rider comes to assist her to demonstrate how much her position can affect her stability on the horse. She also shows how having too straight of a leg can lead to instability, as well as what happens when you turn your toe out. She next covers having the knees on or off the saddle, and then shows how effective a bent knee is.
