The riders continue to work on the exercise. One rider with a very big striding horse has an easy time lengthening the stride, but struggles much more with compressing her horse to add, and subsequently loses her lead. Gina has her work on an exercise with small circles to help her get a feel for the kind of leg aid needed to lift the horse up into a bouncier shorter canter, to be able to collect and fit enough strides in between the jumps. With this in mind, she has more success in the circle exercise.
