When they return to the canter Cesar asks for the haunches in on a small circle around him, straightening once they get a few strides in haunches in.  They then ride the square exercise with quarter turns before coming to a six meter volte in haunches in.  To prepare they come in shoulder in and ask for a very collected canter.  As they ride the true canter pirouette, the preparation work allows the horse to collect on the spot and turn in tempo around the pirouette.
