The rider now remounts, and Steffen clarifies that when she pushes with the spur it needs to mean more to the mare. When she goes to the canter pirouette she shows a much better collection and when she breaks to the trot Steffen encourages her to make a bigger correction. He asks them to extend the canter down the long side and then collect while keeping her leg long when asking for the collection. They do a single change, and Steffen has her make sure she has the right canter before doing the change. He ends the session by clarifying the use of the spur versus the leg aid and talking about where she should go next in her training.
