Laura starts with this upper level pair by letting them warm up as they normally would. The mare shows some tension, and Laura encourages the rider to allow her to sneeze as she trots and dissipate some of that tension in her back. They allow her to stretch and relax and then incorporate gentle leg yields to the warm up. Laura encourages the rider to dictate the positioning and outline of the mare.
