The mare jigs a bit during the walk break, and Laura suggests leg yielding her when she does. The canter work is from the trot, but Laura has her make sure their walk trot transitions are clear first with no jigging. They repeat the shoulder in exercise at the canter, keeping them straight until she is tall on the outside shoulder. When they go to a single change, Laura encourages her to sit very straight and they ride the counter canter first until she can move and manipulate her body in the canter and counter canter without it being an aid for anything else. They work on the shoulder fore and shoulder in in the canter, and end the session with a stretchy canter in a two point, deciding to try the changes the next day.
