They finish with the walk pirouettes before going to the canter. They work on a rubber band exercise where they work on transitions within the canter. With the collected canter they do a canter serpentine with no change of lead. Nicholas helps them stay round in these exercises and warns against giving him anything to lean on. Half pass is next to counter canter to flying change on the long side. Nicholas asks them to have a more compressed canter before she asks for the change. The precision asked for in the canter includes working on keeping him round, and they do the rubber band exercise to the right. He has her use counter flexion to help with the collection.
