Canter pirouettes are worked on and getting proper bend and flexion are stressed so that the horse can carry out the proper mechanics of the pirouette. They begin work on tempi changes. Finally they move into piaffe work. Martin says to really think... small steps. He goes from walk to piaffe and uses the stick in the hock area to assist horse and rider.
