Debbie McDonald begins this lesson by asking for the rider to keep the spine of the horse straight. When she falls onto the outside shoulder, Debbie cautions her against over bending to the inside and popping onto the outside shoulder. They use a little counter flexion to help with the straightness. They use the leg yield from the wall, making sure to keep the hips and shoulders in alignment. Once the leg yield is straight they go to the half pass.
