Gary gives suggestions for her leg and hand position during a walk break, and when they start up in the walk again he asks for deeper corners and a little quicker tempo than she offers. He emphasizes riding straight, then getting bend before turning in the corners or on a circle. In the sitting trot they do a shoulder in right out of the corner. He helps her get the canter lighter and then works on the half pass with the correct bend. He asks her to use her lower leg and the stick to build power before asking for the medium canter. Gary goes through the aids for the canter depart to make them clearer and more precise. He explains how important a prompt response to the aid is and how this will help the flying changes later.
