Cesar now introduces the quarter pirouettes on a square with the necessary positioning and collection before the corner and the turn. They first practice this at the walk before going to the canter. When he struggles they work on his positioning and collection preparing for the turn. The next step is to ride the quarter turn at the canter and then ask for a canter walk transition after the turn. Cesar has her abandon the quarter turn if he isn't over his back. He has her practice the move from the Fourth Level test with the two diagonals with a turn in between, again waiting for him to be properly prepared and collected before asking for the turn.
