Debbie works with the second rider to help keep her horse calm with a steady contact, which helps him to slow his thinking down. They begin by asking him to go to the corners and being conscious of how much release she gives. They use the haunches in to keep him from pushing his shoulders out. In the mediums they work on self carriage and half halts so he doesn't fall on his front end and become heavy in the hands. When asking for the renvers, Debbie encourages her to have more ground cover without rushing. As he carries himself better the ride becomes less hectic. Janet ends the session by talking about how both horses showed the problem was not the movements but the balance needed to collect.
