Hilda teaches all her young horse to leg yield in the canter, both to and from the rail. When she adds the medium canter she first does it on a circle. He will be shown at First Level and in the Young Horse test, so she also works on the counter canter with am emphasis on keeping the balance. She repeats the exercise on the other side. When they return to the trot the work becomes more complex including the introduction of the traverse. They practice a few halts, and Hilda shows how she asks for him to be square if he doesn't halt square. The session ends with stretching at the trot.
