Conrad Schumacher joins DressageTrainingOnline with this symposium beginning with a Training Level horse and rider. He first observes this harmonious pair walk, trot and canter and points out that while they present a nice picture the horse is not through the neck. He explains the use of the flash and why it is so commonly needed. He helps the horse learn that having it neck down is a good place to be while at a halt and with some sugar, and describes how this position helps them with future training. He then explains what flexion is and has the rider work on controlling the neck in the walk and halt.
