The rider demonstrates how impulsion lifts the horse's neck by adding impulsion with her leg and allowed the horse to come up with the rein. Catherine explains how a young horse isn't technically rocked back on the hindquarters but because of correct riding is not on the forehand. They demonstrate how they teach their youngsters to go forward towards what scares them and make it go away by going towards it. This teaches them to not spin away from frightening situations. Catherine ends this session by talking about training horses to Grand Prix.
