Joyce changes direction and works on relaxation in the canter and shows a clear and effective half halt. She repeats the haunches in exercise in the canter to the left, as well as the transitions within the gait. She describes how she chooses what order of gaits to ride in the warm up depending on how the mare is that day. She works through another spook at the trot before going on to the trot half passes, making sure she is bending correctly before asking for the half pass.
