Geoff Teall says the most important thing for flatwork is getting comfortable going up to pace. The idea of the warm-up is to get the horses going forward, straight and light in that order. Second, he thinks the clinic riders need to be a little uncomfortable with the pace. He wants riders to push themselves a little bit to challenge themselves and their horses.
