Part 1: International competitor, trainer and coach, Jimmy Wofford gives an in depth demonstration on holding the reins. He addresses a common issue faced by many riders - constantly having to shorten the reins. Jimmy demonstrates a better way to hold the reins with the thumb closed on top, that means once the reins are set to the correct length, they stay there. He goes on to discuss how riders must develop independent fingers, much like they develop independence in other areas of the body, so they can still use the rein without letting the length slip.
