Willy demonstrates different ways to put the reins over the saddle and talks about when to use the different positions. He shows what to do if the horse has too much bend with the reins like this. They next have a rider mount the horse and lunge with the rider adding a neck strap for the safety of the rider. They show how they go about mounting to give the horse a chance to become used to the rider and how once mounted they go through the steps to introduce the idea of the leg to the horse. Willy demonstrates how he can move the horse up and down the arena while on the lunge.
