Part 3: Dorothy continues to work with the rider over fences to develop a quiet step that can have power added to it, and a balanced medium canter with stretch of the neck. She explains that before going to advanced level, the mare must master theses and be able to move between them easily. The rider works to keep her knee open and in a tripod with her pelvis and seat bones on the saddle, so as to avoid tipping back and blocking the movement of the horse as they jump around the course.
