Part 4: Davis discusses the three positions used across country, galloping position, preparation position and jumping position. He gives examples of well known riders to help illustrate the different styles these can take, and how they may change depending on the individual horse or rider. The riders gallop out to show their galloping position and their preparing to jump position. David reminds them to get lower in preparation position and think of bringing their faces closer to the horse's neck to change their shape. He has them make the transition from gallop down to the walk while staying out of the saddle, reminding them of the importance of being able to stay off the horses back on course.
