Sharon has the riders complete a short course of fences, including a Trakehner, with gallops in between the jumps. She doesn't want the riders to overthink what they are doing. She wants them to look up, steer and ride to the fence in a steady rhythm.

They school banks next and begin by walking up a double set of banks. To learn their footwork for the exercise, they repeat it and ask for a walk the whole way through. When going down the banks, they start with just one, again asking for a walk so the horses are able to sort out their footwork.
