Part 2: The lesson continues with Doug challenging the rider to jump a coffin cold. They focus on building enough power and energy while still sitting back in a safe but effective position for the fence. As the horse can get a little buzzy, Doug works with the rider to keep the mare from getting dull without blowing her up. The riders progress onto a course including the ditch, coffin and skinnies, working on creating power but staying in balance using their aids and positions. Doug gives one rider homework exercise ideas to help improve her large horse's foot speed, then they work on jumping the same course backwards.
