Sharon White begins this lesson with a discussion of when to use spurs. She helps the rider get the horse to push more from behind, stay straight on a circle and ride accurate figures. They ride leg-yields from the quarterlines and centerline to the track to improve the rider’s inside leg to outside rein connection. Watch for tips on the trot stretchy circle. Sharon has the rider school canter–trot–canter transitions on the diagonal as well as trot lengthenings. They then ride the dressage test with White’s helpful input.
