Catherine now explains the seat of the saddle and how it helps both the riders and the horse. This custom saddle has four short billets that she uses with a cord girth. Because this saddle has thin, soft knee pads instead of big knee rolls, the knee of the rider is able to come forward. Catherine demonstrates riding with a bent knee and the ability to tilt the pelvis and move with the horse as opposed to riding with a straight knee and a locked pelvis.
