PART 1: Olympic team member Doug Payne brings us this fantastic jump lesson with a mare that specializes in the jumpers rather than eventing, but he focuses on the principles common to all stadium rounds. He and the jumper rider first discuss the balance needed on the approach to a jump and how the first couple landing strides can tell success of the preparation. They continue with a figure-eight pattern over a single fence.
